Brennan runs riot in Clonegal

Striker Andy Brennan had the type of day where the only thing you could fault was his haircut.

The striker bagged six of Vale’s nine goals in this cup game. Within ten minutes Brennan had a hatrick. Goalkeeper Ger Kieran and Des Shaw assisting Brennan.

Des Shaw bagged his first and second goals for the first team in the first half. While Andy Brennan added two more to leave the score 7-1 at half time.

In the second half Brennan only managed one goal. But he also went on to assist Lee Conran who ended the scoring with a tidy finish.

Coach Podge Doyle had this to say about Brennan:

He is lethal from six inches

While his strike partner Des Shaw had this to say about Brennan’s goals:

Andy scored six tap ins today. Some would say the quality of my goals was of a higher standard
